It’s all about the USB cable with Android Auto, and probably not the one that came with your phone. Got this reciever a couple of months ago on sale, and finally got to installing it and a rear view camera on my 2014 Ram 1500. Installation was fairly easy, the sound is amazing, and interface is decent. The HUGE lettering and the lack of automatic scrolling of long names, titles, ect. is something I had to get used to, but became less of a bother the more I used the head unit. iDatalink Maestro integration is amazing as well, giving me my ODBII information straight from the unit. Do not buy this if you want android auto. Bought this for Android compatibility. My bad. It will play music through Bluetooth. It will let you hear driving directions through the head unit, but it will not display maps, or do any kind of mirroring. It does have Waze, which does not work because the only way to connect is through a really bad app that disconnects constantly. If you need a decent sounding head unit on the cheap, that also lets you stream music through Bluetooth, with a double din touchscreen. This might be for you.
