Fits my 2016 MK7 Golf R This fits my 2016 MK7 Golf R perfectly. I obviously don’t notice any more power from my car, but I do hear the turbo spool up a bit more which is fun. I didn’t buy this for more power though. I just wanted a better quality air filter than the stock filter.

A VERY noticeable improvement! I run these in all of my vehicles, but I have never noticed THIS much of an increase in throttle response as I did when I installed this in my 2017 VW GTI SE! The factory pleated paper filter is about 4″ thick…twice the thickness of the K&N. Throttle response is noticeably improved and you can actually hear the turbo spooling up a little louder than stock. Fantastic filter for my MK7 GTI! There is no need to buy an expensive intake when performance tuning your GTI. If you want the fun sounds, then yes, go pick one up from APR or Unitronic or from any number of companies who build a nice one. However, if you just want the increased airflow to go stage 1+ and up all you need to do is this. First, obviously, is to order this fantastic K&N air filter for your MK7 GTI.
